  1. 1/12/2015: Inter Zonal Youth Festival, held at Punjabi University Patiala- Play "Dhiyaan Te Tahaniyan" got III Position. Rajdeep Kaur, BA II Year got the best actress award. Bhangra and Skit won I Prize, play and collage making got II prize and Flok songs and Mime won the III Position.

  2. 3/12/2015: Inter Collage and Inter University sports championship DAV College Bathinda stood second in Inter Collage Chess (Men) championship, our student Sumit Sharma was selected for North Zonal team.

  3. Inter College Championship- for Indoor Hockey Girls Tournament, 6 girls of the team were selected for Inter-varsity Championship. Hockey Girls Team stood second in Inter-College Championship.

  4. 12 boys from DAV College Bathinda were selected for American Footbal team.

  5. 25/12/2015: Inter College, Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib-Jashandeep bagged a gold medal for best Physique Championship. He has also been selected for all India Intervarsity Championship to be held at Tamil Nadu.

  6. Sandeep Narwal, student, DAV College, Bathinda a winner of Junior Asia in Kabaddi (National Style), bagged Gold Medal in National games Kabaddi. He has also been selected for Patna Panthers Team for Pro-League Kabaddi Championship.

  7. One of the Hockey players represented PEPSU Hockey Team for Senior National Hockey championship and got 2nd position.

  8. 7/12/2015: Sh. R.K.Gupta, a businessman and working for social causes, gave scholarship to more than 100 needy and deserving students of DAV College, Bathinda.

  9. 10/12/2015: Prof. Rajesh Batra, DAV College, Bathinda was selected for Pre Commissioned Training, Training provided by officers Training Academy in Nagpur.

  10. 8/1/2016: Inter College Hockey, women Tournament at Astroturf- Girls Hockey Team of DAV College, Bathinda won the tournament.

  11. 9/1/2016: College magazine "SANDEEP" was launched by Swami Suryadev Ji during Hawan Yagya on the commencement of the session.

  12. 9/1/2016: Punjabi University Inter College Hockey Tournament- DAV Hockey Girls team won 2 prizes.

  13. 10/1/2016: Sh, Swapna Dutta, President, Marketing, Monte Carlo Fashions distributed 260 woollen wear to the underprivileged and needy students of the college.

  14. 14/1/2016: Lohri festival was joyfully celebrated. "Muk Natak", a street play was performed by the students of Lok Manch, Punjabi University.

  15. 26/1/2016: Deputy CM gave the prize to NCC cadet Simranjeet Kaur, as the parade commander on Republic Day.

  16. 2/2/2016: Nikita, MA I year won II prize in the essay competition on "Voter Awareness", held at Govt. Rajindra College.

  17. 3/2/2016: 4 students of DAV College, Bathinda won a Gold Medal in all India Intervarsity American Football tournament, organised at Punjabi University, Patiala.

  18. 4/2/2016: NSS organized a special lecture on the life of Swami Vivekanand. Dr. R.K. Mahajan, President, Swami Vivekanand study circle delivered the lecture.

  19. 6/2/2016: Two students of B.Sc were offered jobs at Talwandi Sabo Thermal Plant.

  20. 9/2/2016: An essay writing competition was organized in the Campus on Lala Lajpat Rai's 150th birth anniversary.

  21. 13/2/2016: A Kite Flying competition was organized on the occasion of Basant Panchami Jalandhar Doordarshan, DD Punjabi covered the event, Stand up comedian Teji Sandhu entertained the spectators.

  22. A counseling lecture at DAV College, Bathinda was organized by Counselling and Placement Cell of the College. Mr. Sonu Goyal, IIM Ahmedabad Counsel the students about various options available.

  23. 27/2/2016: A Poster Making Competition was organized on National Science Day, Jointly by Chemistry, Physics and Biology Departments. More than 50 students of various streams participated.

  24. 28/2/2016: Devoting itself for noble ventures, DAV College, Bathinda organised Computer Classes for Senior citizens.

  25. 29/2/2016: Annual Athletic Meet was organized after a sapn of 35 years in DAV College Bathinda. Students showed great enthusiasm and vigour in the event. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour at the event were Chief parliamentary Secretary (Excise and Taxation) Sh, Saroop Chand Singla and Mayor Balwant Rai Nath. For the valedictory function, the Chief Guest of Honour were Diputy Commissioner Dr. Basant Garg and Assistant Inspector General of Police (Crime Branch) Jaipal Singh (Arjuna Awardee).

  26. 2/3/2016: Two girls of DAV College, Bathinda won second prize in Inter College Music competition "Iktara Wajda" organized by Mata Sahib Kaur Girls College, Talwandi Sabo.

  27. 2/3/2016: Inter College Youth Festival: A "Turban Tying Competition" was organized at Adesh University (Medical College), Bhucho. Beant Singh stood 2nd in this competition. Around 300 students participated in the competition.

Players trained for National and International matches


  1. NarinderRam(Bittu) and Gulzar Singh (Gulzari) won GOLD medal in the First World kabaddi Cup.

  2. NarinderRam(Bittu), Gulzar Singh (Gulzari), Gurlal Singh( Ghanuar) and Jagdeep Singh( Kaka) won GOLD medal in the Second World kabaddi Cup.

  3. NarinderRam(Bittu), Gurlal Singh( Ghanuar) and Gurjeet Singh(Gogo) won GOLD medal in the Third World kabaddi Cup.

  4. Manpreet Singh Mana won Gold medal in the Asian Games 2002 held at South Korea (Busan).

  5. Manpreet Singh Mana won Gold medal in the Asian Games Doha Qatar 2006.

  6. Sandeep Singh won Gold medal in the Junior Asian games 2011 held at Malaysia.
